Larry Puckett of Lakewood, Colorado, entered into rest January 31, 2019, at age 57. He was born September 13, 1961 in Topeka, Kansas, to Barbara J. (Gustafson) and Donald A. Puckett, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry is survived by his wife Janeen Puckett, son Matthew, and daughter Emma. Also surviving are his step-mother Roxie Puckett, as well as three sisters: Jennifer Jensen, Dawna Puckett, and Kathy Summers, all of Topeka, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and friend. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1979. He proudly served in the Army National Guard of Kansas. He went on to work in various fields of employment, settling into a career in Information Technology, first at Rose Medical Center, and most recently with MDC Holdings, Inc. in Denver, Colorado.
Larry enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, camping, and geocaching. He was a fan of classic rock and roll, his favorite bands being Lynryd Skynyrd and Kansas. He loved to watch football, especially his favorite teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. When someone was in need, Larry did his best to help in any way he could. His Christian faith was an integral part of his life. Dearly loved, he will be well-remembered and greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 11th at 11:30AM at Drinkwine Family Mortuary. Burial will follow the service at 2PM at Evergreen Memorial Park, Evergreen, CO.
