Lois Elaine Solberg

Lois A. Solberg of Littleton, Colorado was born in Joliet, Illinois in 1927 and raised in Lockport, Illinois. She graduated Lockport Central High School in 1945 . She worked in Chicago as a secretary from1945 to 1949. She married LaVerne Lars Solberg in 1949 and, after stops in Norman Oklahoma, Kenosha Wisconsin, and Naperville Illinois, they settled in Sycamore Illinois in 1959. Lois worked as the executive secretary to the Dean of Visual and Performing Arts at Northern Illinois University from 1973 to 1990. She then retired and moved to Littleton, Colorado with her husband in 1991. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and held the position of Registrar for the Denver and Mt Rosa chapters of the DAR. She was passionate in her love of genealogy and shared her knowledge and passion with family and friends. Lois was preceded in death in 1992 by her husband LaVerne. She is survived by her son Tait Solberg and daughter–in-law Yoshiko of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, her daughter Tamara Ecklund and son-in-law Brant of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and her son Teag and daughter-in-law Aleesa of Littleton, Colorado. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tiffany, Jessica, Lindsay, Tristan, Teag II, Trevor, Meghan, Kari, Taniel, Eirik and Elise as well as her great-grandchildren Jennifer, Austin, Michael, Teag III, Wilhelmina, Alice, Jessie, Wyatt, Julia, Ally and Amelia.

Visitation/viewing Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 PM. Funeral service Thursday at 10:30 A.M. both at Drinkwine Family Chapel. Burial will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 12:00 Noon (Staging Area "A").
