I was sorry to hear about Lou's illness and passing. I very much enjoyed working with him at the Denver Service Center and learned much from him. May you find comfort in your memories of him.

I was very sorry to hear of Lou's passing. He was such a good and through historian. When I joined the Park Service, he was assigned as a mentor for me, so I have great memories of that experience.

Dear Torres/Cronenberger family --
I will always remember Lou as the kindest, most thoughtful caring man. I didn't know him well and I don't believe I every really worked with him on a project, but remember nice conversations with him in Denver. My best to everyone in the family.

Dear Evelyn, Pat, Louis, and families - My deepest condolences on Lou's passing. What a wonderful colleague and sweet man he was. I always enjoyed working with him as an editor on his many projects. I so loved reading his many reports, and he is responsible for my interest in Chiricahua NM's Faraway Ranch and the Thunderbird Lodge at Canyon de Chelly. I still remember with awe the tremendous Bicentennial party you all put on. Am thinking of you and will always remember Lou with love and affection. My best, Linda

Evelyn, Pat, Louis, Rick, and family-- Lou was a special man and a great friend, one I'll never forget. We shared many good times at work and at family occasions and getogethers. He was a terrific historian at the Denver Service Center, and I recall bringing him back after he retired to work on new projects. I'll always remember him saying to me, "Wait a while," as he made his point in conversations. I'm so glad that I got to see him one last time a few years back, when he was napping. I spoke to him and he awoke, and--without missing a beat--said, "Jerry! What are YOU doing here?" What a riot! He was a wonderful man and a friend, and I miss him greatly. My best to you all.

I only met your parents a few times, Pat, but was always impressed at how nice they were and how supportive and proud they were of you. After reading this interesting memorial about your father, I see where you got your interest in history and historic preservation!
We are sorry for your loss. Please give our condolences to your mother.
Sincerely, Rebecca and Bill

What a marvelous, interesting man your father was, Pat. I wish I had known him better. Among other things, he is living proof of the amazing contributions that immigrants and their descendants have made to this country. You can be very proud of him.
That being said, I am sending love and prayers to you, Rick, Andrew, Brianna, your wonderful mother Evelyn, and others in your family.
