Margaret Ann “Peggy” Gallagher 63 of Littleton, passed away on June 25, 2019 in her home after a long illness. Peggy was a devoted daughter, a wonderful sister and a true friend to many. She was born in Somerville, New Jersey but moved with her family to Littleton as a young adult and considered Littleton her home.
Peggy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from CU Boulder but chose to work in the restaurant industry. She brought her strengths, talents, and a great personality to everyone she interacted with. She was a consummate professional, and a food and wine expert, who enjoyed serving others. Always a hard worker, Peggy, had many interests and loved to have a good time. She loved finding a bargain at consignment stores and other such arenas. Peg liked bingo, casinos, and she was a very good cook. Peggy was exceptionally well read, was always up to date on current events, and a good conversationalist. She frequently took care of her sister’s dogs and became known in the family as “Aunt Peggy’s Doggie Day Care.” The dogs were instinctually drawn to her warmth, gentleness, and love. No dog ever got better care as she absolutely “doted” on them.
Peggy loved hanging out with her four sisters who were her best friends. Peggy enjoyed “sister trips” whether long or short, and doing all the fun things sisters do together. It will never be the same without her.
Throughout her life, Peggy was close to her family. She was a devoted daughter, wonderful sister and a true friend to many. She is survived by her Mother, Marie Gallagher, her four sisters; twin-Susan Gallagher, Eileen Gallagher, Jean Gallagher, and Tricia Mauro. She had seven nephews and nieces, and a significant other, James McNally. Peg was a loyal, kind, and loving person who will be missed by many.
Recitation of Rosary 7:00 PM Monday July 1, 2019 at Drinkwine Family Chapel. Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Tuesday July 2, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church with committal to follow at Littleton Cemetery.
