Marilyn S. Carmichael

Marilyn Louise Sayre Carmichael 66, of Littleton Colorado, passed away May 2nd, 2019 at Littleton Adventist Hospital.  Marilyn was born on September 25, 1952 in La Junta, Colorado to Jennings M. & Twyla M. Sayre.  Marilyn was married to Neill Carmichael on October 23, 1976. She is survived by Neill of Littleton, daughter Erin Woon and her family Jay and Hailey Woon of Airdrie, Alberta. Sister, Luanna (Lu) Hendren of Spokane, WA. and her loving puppy Rosey Nicole. Marilyn also had a large extended family and friends, for whom she loved deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Brother Bill Sayre. Marilyn graduated from La Junta High School in 1970 and graduated with a Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Colorado with Magna Cum Laude in 1975. She was a former Denver Regional Manager with Vocational Rehabilitation for the state of Colorado, retiring in 2011.  Marilyn loved to cook, fish and the Denver Broncos were at the top of her list.  She will be missed by many.

Burial will be in La Junta with a private memorial at a later date. The family please requests no flowers but donations may be made to The Lupus Society of Colorado or to The Wounded Veterans Association.

Marilyn’s family would like to thank all of her Doctors, Nurses and staff of Littleton Adventist Hospital and staff of Kaiser Permanente.  The compassionate care and kindness are greatly appreciated.
