Rebecca McKee-Forti

Becky was born in Lynchburg, Virginia to Jack and Jill McKee. The family moved around a lot while her Daddy Jack was getting established as an Engineer. They moved back to Colorado where Jack was born and raised. Then settled in Littleton where her love of horses grew into a passion for competition. She trained her own horse Jinx to win her many trophies, a saddle, and hours of riding around fun at the Little Britches Rodeos. Becky met John Forti and they welcomed 2 sons; Jaxon McKee-Forti and Jonathan Levy Forti. Together they ran Forti Construction. You can see the evidence of their work all around Littleton and Colorado. Becky contracted a MRSA infection in April. She fought hard to recover from the infection that took her leg. She kept an amazing attitude and with help from her boys, friends and family adjusted best as she could to her new normal. On November 24th she developed a blood clot that blocked her intestines. Becky passed away peacefully with her family by her side the morning of the 26th. Becky leaves behind her little sisters, Sharon and Connie, whom she took under her wing and taught them a lot about horses and life in general, her sons Jaxon and Jonathan, a grandson Jonathan James, her brother in law Thomas, her mother Maxine and many many friends! Her beloved German Shepard Javelin and kitties too numerous to name. She is met on the other side by her Beloved Husband John, Mother Jill, Daddy Jack, and Sister Kathy.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a hospice of your choice in Becky's name and memory. They were instrumental in turning her ongoing pain into a beautiful transition to be with those who traveled previously to heaven.
