Rhonda Jane Mary Peters

November 9, 1978 ~ January 4, 2018 (age 39) 39 Years Old

Rhonda Jane Mary Peters

Wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday Jan 9th, 2018 at 2:00pm at Drinkwine Family Mortuary.
Rhonda, our love, passed away suddenly surrounded by her loving family.  She lived her life with love, humor and grace.  She was truly the light of her family's life.
Rhonda is survived by her husband Jason, her daughter Mackenzie and her son Hunter.  She is also survived by her mother Carol, sister Lisa (Eric), brothers Danny (Kim) and Darryl and many nieces, nephews, loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rhonda was born in Hanover ON, Canada but grew up in Oshawa.  Through her early years she excelled at a lot of things including her days with her baton twirling corps.  She was an avid swimmer and an amazing softball player.  She graduated from Fanshawe College in London ON, with her degree in Social Work.  This is where she met and fell in love with her husband, Jason.  After a few years and a wedding in 2001, they moved to Montrose, CO to begin their life together.  Two beautiful children and a move to Grand Junction, CO found Rhonda working at the Hilltop Organization.  She became part of a program where she was able to impact hundreds of lives of children, youth and adults.  Rhonda loved Camping and Traveling with her family.  Camping at Ridgway State Park or Island Acres was always a favorite.  With her family she made yearly trips to Las Vegas where her goal wasn't to gamble but to watch the fountains at the Bellagio.  She would often tell that watching the fountains must be what heaven looks like.  Rhonda got to share her love for Vegas with her mother, sister and brothers as they celebrated a milestone in her families life.  It was a trip to remember.  More recently she fell in love with our trips to California, we made two of them.  She loved watching the ocean roll in and the sounds and smells of the fresh open air.  She loved it so much, she wanted us to move to California permanently.  This last year saw a lot of change in our lives as we moved to Littleton and she began a new job at Falcon Bluffs Middle School as a Para.  She would describe this job as the most rewarding and fulfilling job she could have hoped for and was truly grateful to be a part of it.  She loved where her life was leading.  Rhonda was an amazing woman with so much to offer, she was loved by many but cherished by all. Until we meet again, may she rest forever in peace.
