Richard J. Zaremba

June 18, 1932 ~ January 21, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Richard J. Zaremba, 84, of Centennial passed away January 21, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Rich was born on June 18, 1932 in Jersey City, New Jersey; he was the youngest of 4 boys.  He attended Snyder High School in Jersey City, New Jersey where he met his beloved wife Joan.  After high school he served in the armed forces for 2 years during the the Korean War.  He lived for many years in Secaucus, NJ, while working at Western Electric in Kearney.  In 1972 Rich and Joan relocated to Colorado to work for AT&T, where they established a beautiful home and created life-long friends that would become their “Colorado family.”

Rich will be remembered for his contagious smile and endless generosity, which included volunteering at local elementary schools. He had an abundance of energy, going to the gym, attending Zumba classes, and traveling far and wide with his Senior group and family members. He was a avid pet lover, and always offered his services as a dog-sitter extraordinaire. The rest of his time was often spent working on a never-ending but enjoyable list of home improvement projects, or simply entertaining by the pool.

Rich is proceeded in death by his mother and father, John and Anna Zaremba, brothers William, John and Stanley, and his beautiful wife Joan.  Rich is survived by his brother-in-law Bill Willard, several nieces and nephews and countless members of his Colorado family. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in Rich’s memory at 1-800-227-2345 or http://www.cancer.org.
