Tom was born on June 14, 1933 in Denver, CO to John and Adeline (Della) Canino. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School and the University of Colorado at Boulder, and married Doris Britch (deceased) in 1959.  Tom worked as a stockbroker and was also a part-time ski instructor at Loveland Basin for many years.  Tom had five children: Julie (Jim), John, Andrew (Donna), Mary (Greg) and Thomas (Jamie).  Tom had six grandchildren; Dorie, Gabriella, Connor, Chase, Alexander and Christian.  Tom was a very special father and grandfather, and taught all of his children to ski and to love Colorado's mountains as he did.  Many summer vacations were spent at the YMCA cabins in Estes Park, which created very precious memories!

Tom was extremely active all of his life, and played tennis and pickleball up until the last months of his life, and had very special friends he played with. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunted Elk, loved to fish and to hike fourteeners  in Colorado.  Tom loved to travel and went on countless trips to Mexico, where he first went on his honeymoon in 1959 and nearly every year thereafter; to Eastern and Western Europe, the Caribbean, even to China.  Tom was very social and was always on the go to parties, clubs, skiing, traveling and restaurants. Tom had special cars that he loved to drive and was a member of the Jaguar club with his yellow 1968 E-type coupe.  Tom was a fantastic and creative cook, and made Italian specialties like pizza with homemade crust, sausages and peppers, pasta and his own original creations!  He loved to feed people and was constantly doing it. He loved the many friends he made and he made them everywhere.

A service is scheduled for 10:15 A.M. Monday, September 18, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tom's life. Please add your memories and condolences to this website for the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Tom's memory.
