An unforgettable soul, I loved her visits to the dental office & our conversations while we sat together......she made an indescribable impact on me with her wisdom, Filonea Mink and the Jazz Band will always be one of my favorites.

You have filled a great hall with the voices who will carry your teaching forward.
As we too progress through life and offer our perspectives to others, the colors you placed upon our palette of experience, will whisper in them and murmur in those who follow. These many threads are the braids of knowledge bridging generations that came and will follow. You wove with eloquence, this I will remember.
Thank you, Mrs. Trammel, for your guidance in the classroom and in life.

As always,
Your student

It was always fun visiting Aunt Vickey and family the times I made it to Colorado as a youth.Everyone was accommodating and interested in the bike races that were the reason for my visits. There were some good times getting to know my cousins and learning from Vickey and Jim what they shared about their lives. I will always cherish those memories. She was a fine lady who made a positive imprint on my life. I'm sorry for your loss.

Vickey was the kindest, gentlest person, and was a caring friend of mine for years. She will be missed and always remembered. She is an inspiration and an example of the finer characteristics of humanity. She made a positive impact on all she touched.

I remember the enthusiasm, joy, and knowledge that Vickey brought to all events and conversations I've had with her, especially in our adventures at South Platte Park. I'll miss the sparkle in her eye and the mischievous grin on her face when she had a great story to tell or an idea to hatch. Many thanks to the family and friends who supported her and shared in the precious moments with her.

When I was a budding naturalist, Vickey took me under her wing to help me learn more than just the plants of South Platte Park, but the process to learn them, and more-so an appreciation for both plants and science. I will fondly remember hours of her sitting 'shotgun' as I drove for our trips and tours, entertaining me and van with stories of her adventures and lessons. Her family is in our thoughts.

There's an enormous tree casting shade over a meadow in Roxborough State Park, and under this tree is a bench which always reminds me of Vickey. She'd pause there when leading a group of us on botany hikes years ago, then she'd proceed on, pausing to tell us all about one flower after another. She was a wonderful teacher, gentle and always smiling, so her lessons were not only about plants but also about life. Another of her favorite places to botanize was Loveland Pass Lakes where the alpine plants so delighted her that she'd often sing. It was a delight to know her, to learn from her. Her lessons live on.
