Welcome to the memorial page for

Victorine M. Trammell

March 2, 1939 ~ June 28, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Victorine (Vickey) M. Trammell, age 78 of Littleton, died peacefully in her sleep on June 28th, 2017. The first of four children, she was born in Ohio to Paul and Blossom Perkins on March 3, 1939.  Her sister was Blossom Shaw; her two brothers were Paul Perkins and Eddie Perkins. She was married to James R. Trammell, Jr. for over 50 years and raised three sons in Littleton: David E. Trammell (deceased), James P. Trammell and Scott A. Trammell.

Vickey touched the lives of countless numbers of people in her community through many aspects of life. She inspired students with her teaching at Arapahoe Community College for 30 years. Music was a priority for Vickey from family songs to playing the violin in several orchestras, and in her later years she sang in several choirs. She also expressed herself through art, poetry, and story writing. She loved gardening and had a green thumb.  Vickey loved nature and volunteered as a naturalist at several state parks and was instrumental in the beginnings of Roxborough State Park.  She was also a part of NEcroSearch to use her botany skills to assist in the location of clandestine graves and related evidence.  Most importantly she took the time to be a friend and listen to anyone who needed help. She will be deeply missed by the community in which she touched.

Services will be held on July 17th at 2 pm at the Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S Datura St, Littleton, CO 80120. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to the nonprofit “Friends of Roxborough”.  Mail checks to 4751 East Roxborough Dr, Roxborough CO 80125.
