Violet Mae Kent

Violet (Vi) Mae Kent passed away on November 13, 2019 in Littleton Colorado at the age of 82. She was born in Bozeman, Montana on May 10, 1937 to Ruth Ella and Robert Kenneth Priest. She was the eldest sibling to Robert Ray and Wanda Rose.

Vi married John William Kent on August 15, 1957 in Billings, Montana.  She was a dedicated mother, first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a sweet disposition and always made people feel welcome in her home. 

Vi’s favorite pastimes were spending time each morning reading her bible, having devotions and praying for her family.  She loved God and her family above all else, she was an incredible godly example. She loved to crochet, especially baby afghans, and she was an avid reader.

For many years she worked at Arapahoe County Motor Vehicle as a Title Clerk and could always be seen with a smile on her face and was loved by everyone that met her.

She is survived by her husband John, three children Randy (Cyndi) Kent, Lynn Hayward, and Wendy (Mike) Craven; seven grandchildren Bobby (Stacie) Kent, Stacia (Nick) Taylor, Mirinda Pfaff, Nathan (Melody) Kent, Jonathan Craven, Jon (Maggie) Pfaff, and Abby Hayward; fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and her sister Wanda (Fred) Woodruff and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Robert Priest, two-month old baby brother Robert Ray Priest and a four-month old great grandson Darian Beauregaurd Kent.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 13th at 10:00 am at Authentic Life Church, 6500 West Coal Mine Avenue, Littleton, CO 80123.
