Addis James McCarthy

In Loving Memory of Addis James McCarthy - September 22, 1938 – April 13, 2023

Addis was born in St. Louis, Missouri. When he was 12 years old, he and his family moved to California.

Addis married Marilane Mackenzie in June 19, 1965 and they moved to Denver, Colorado where Addis started his own business that sold technical products. Addis and Marilane were married for 58 years and had two foster sons— Chay and David Tang.

Addis was a devout Catholic who loved the Latin Mass and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel since its inception. He enjoyed reading about sports and timepiece/watch collecting, had a wonderful sense of humor, was a great storyteller, and was very outgoing and friendly.

Addis is survived by his wife Marilane, brother Robert, sister-in-law Patty, foster sons Chay and David Tang, four grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was a devoted husband, loving foster father and uncle, and a wonderful person that will be dearly missed by all.

Recitation of Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM with Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM  at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with reception to follow.  Committal will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
