Amber Rice Obituary

Amber Dawn Rice, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, stepmother, aunt, cousin and friend, left this world too soon on Feb. 11, 2020. We lost Amber at the young age of 42 from complications that began with a sudden and unexpected clot in her brain. She was surrounded by family and has given at least two families miracles through organ donation. Amber was born in Cheyenne, WY on March 15, 1977.

Amber was a firecracker; with a vibrant and contagious energy that filled the room. She loved travelling and experiencing new cultures to the fullest extent. Amber was very intelligent and was proud of her successful career as a respected Space and Power Engineer. She also enjoyed hosting and was a great cook.

Most of all Amber loved her husband, Travis. The love that they shared was one for the ages and they were truly soulmates. Amber and Travis built a great life together, buying their dream house and traveling all over the world.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Darrell and Lorene Christensen. Amber is survived by her loving husband, Travis Rice (Summer and Lucas); mother, Peggy Clark; siblings, Adam Clark (Stacey, Nolan) and Kayla Mumby (Jarrin, Avery, Annabelle, Carter); her fur babies, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.

Amber will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Amber’s life will begin at 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 16th at Ascension Lutheran Church in Littleton. A reception with lunch will follow.

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, Amber’s family would appreciate donations to the Denver Dumb Friends League (www.ddfl.org) or to another charity of your choice in Amber’s name and memory.
