On Sunday, April 25th, 2021, Annalee Rose Guttormson, age 84, peacefully passed away at home. She was surrounded by those who loved her dearly. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 26th, 1937, to James and Rose (Colosacco) Delisa. She had five siblings, Lucille Johnston, Lawrence Delisa, Gerald Delisa, Robert Delisa, and Elaine Mckibbon.
In 1958, Anna met John Guttormson, an aerospace illustrator, and draftsman, while working as a secretary at Martin Marietta. They were married on October 8th, 1958, and remained happily married for 53 years. They had four children, fourteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
During the 1970s and 80s, Anna and her sister-in-law, Bette Delisa, ran Custom Cake Supplies, a very successful cake decorating school and supply store. In 1977 they created the Mile High Cake Decorators Club that hosted and judged several local area cake decorating competitions. In 1995, Anna and John Guttormson started a family-run business called JRG Media, LLC, still in operation today.
Anna was a fierce defender of her kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren. She was a fantastic cook, homemaker, wife and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She valued teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook, decorate cakes, and most importantly, to stand up for themselves and defend what is right. She will be greatly missed by immediate and extended family members.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, John Guttormson, one grandchild, and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Carroll (Gordon) of Littleton, CO, Mitch Guttormson (Karen) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Jennifer Hurkett (Earl) of Cape Coral, Fl, Eric Guttormson (April) of Lakewood, CO, her grandchildren Athena Leo (Matt), Cassandra Ortler (Chris), Natalie Hall (Matt), Anthony Carroll (Danae), Micah Craighead (Josh), Monica Hurkett, Jordan Guttormson (Sara), Dominic Guttormson, Mackenzie Harlan (Paul), Cassidy Guttormson, Chloe Guttormson, Ava Guttormson, Jaycee Guttormson, and Evan Guttormson.
