Audrey Ann Wenger

Audrey Ann (Peterson) Wenger, born on July 29, 1935, in Monroe, Wisconsin, peacefully departed from this world on February 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Audrey was the cherished daughter of Chester E. Peterson and Laura S. (Shager) Peterson, and the beloved sister of Carol Ann. After marrying Alan Wenger on August 8, 1959, Audrey embraced her role as a devoted wife and mother.

Audrey's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family, community, and faith. She and Alan raised their two sons, Bryan Keith Wenger and Eric Dean Wenger, in Littleton, Colorado, where Audrey was an integral part of their neighborhood and church community. Her dedication to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served on the finance team and sang joyously in the choir, exemplified her deep-rooted faith and generous spirit.

Audrey will be fondly remembered for her kindness, pragmatism, resilience, and boundless compassion. Her legacy lives on through her family: her sons Bryan and Eric, daughters-in-law Ellena and Angelina, grandchildren Kassia Ellen Wenger, Dustin Yehling and his wife Sheena, Chelsey Lowe, and Whitney Yehling, as well as her great-grandchildren Austin, Peyton, Dalton, Berkley, Boden, Saylor, and Slater, and her beloved dog, Miss T.

A celebration of Audrey's remarkable life will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Littleton, CO, on Saturday, March 9, at 11:00 am, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests honorariums be given to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (6322 S. Lakeview Street, Littleton, CO 80120), honoring Audrey's lifelong commitment to her faith community. Though Audrey may have left this world, her memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched with her warmth, wisdom, and love.
