Barbara Turcheck Obituary

In Loving Memory of Barbara Ann Turcheck

Barbara Ann Turcheck, 66, best known as Barb, passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2024, in Morrison, Colorado. For the past five years Barb fought hard through the challenges of Stage 4 cancer. She was an example of dignity, courage, and perseverance.

Born on January 10, 1958, as the youngest of two children to Bill and Bettylou Watson. Barb was raised in Littleton, Colorado with her brother, Bill Watson. Bill’s closest friends were considered “her other brothers”, as well. She was a loving, outgoing, and talented child. Barb developed the ability to bake by observing her mother, and while under the diligent tutelage of her Grandma Amanda Watson, she learned to sew.  As a result, throughout her life she was magnificent at both endeavors.

In 1974, Barb met the love of her life and Littleton High School sweetheart, Jeff Turcheck. Throughout the next 43 years of marriage, they remained one another’s best friend and steadfast advocate. They were blessed with four beautiful children. Their home was one of laughter, fun, and hugs.

Barb was a valued employee at Cloth World for many years. She worked in the tax department at John’s Manville. As a Tupperware District Manager, she developed many life-long friendships and supplied her family members with a cabinet-full of Tupperware! She was a devoted member in her church choir, which she enjoyed both with respect to her faith and the friends she made.

Barb found joy in serving others and was deeply devoted to her friends and family members. She cherished celebrating holidays and birthdays, going on shopping outings (particularly with her daughter and 2 grandsons) and preparing unforgettable bacon-wrapped steak and lobster feasts for her loved ones. Her home was always an open one of limitless love and welcoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Bridget, who passed away from SIDS at 3 months old. Barb is survived by her husband, Jeff Turcheck; her 3 children:  Kim Six (Michael), Justin, and Brandon; her beloved grandsons: Bodhi and Rainer Six, and her brother Bill Watson (Barbara) and many cherished nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many Turcheck family members, whom she adored.

Barb leaves a legacy of unconditional love and joy which will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She lived to serve others, and she will be greatly missed!
