Bobby G Markham passed away December 16, 2021, at the age of 90.
Bobby was born to Albert and Mable Markham on October 16, 1931, on a farm in south-eastern Kansas. He was the fifth of six children in the family
Bobby graduated McPherson High School Kansas in 1949. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1951 and served at Yokosuka Japan until 1953. He graduated from Emporia State College Kansas in 1957. He married Nancy Sue Andrews in 1957, also a graduate of McPherson High School Kansas and Emporia State College Kansas.
Bobby worked his entire career in the Aerospace and Defense industry at rising levels in Finance. He retired from Martin Marietta in 1991 after 29 years,
Bobby had a great passion for sports, the competition of his grandchildren, woodworking, travel, and family. Bobby and Nancy were members of a neighborhood dinner club founded in 1962. The club still meets, and they consider each as extended family. In 1995 the dinner club published a book “A Taste of Friendship”.
Bobby is preceded in death by Nancy (wife) 2000, Lori (daughter) 1961, Albert, Mable (parents), Phyllis, Francis, Alice, and Paul (Sisters and Brothers). Surviving Bobby are David and Karen, Steve and Shannon, Scott, and Jill (three son’s and spouses), nine grandchildren, and Tom and Kathy Markham (Brother). Bobby has a large number of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. In 2021 Bobby welcomed his first great granddaughter Charlotte Rose.
