Carl Allan Gillberg

It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Allan Gillberg announce his passing on December 23, 2023, at the age of 77. Carl was born on October 21, 1946, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to Carl Edward and Elsie Elaine Gillberg.

Carl was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He was married to Diane Lynn (Bjorklund) Gillberg for 57 years. He was the loving father of Michelle Lynn Dominick, Heather Elaine Maloney, and Christen Mae Mears. He was the proud grandfather of Peter Allan Aamodt, Blake Douglas Mears, and Dean Arthur Mears. He was also the beloved brother of James Edward Gillberg.

Carl was an avid pilot and lover of classic cars, planes, and helicopters. As a graduate of North Plainfield High School, he completed his education at Somerset Technical School. Afterwards, Carl served honorably as a Chinook Pilot with the Army in the Vietnam War and held the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished his family above all else.

Carl will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S Datura St, Littleton, CO 80120.
