Cathleen M. Thompson was born on August 13, 1928, in Wake County, North Carolina, and left us on July 31, 2020.
She grew up on a farm in Wake County -until she married Eustace B. Thompson on Sept.25, 1948. Soon after, they moved to Virginia where Eustace (Tinker) worked at a Milk Bottling Plant and Cathleen (KT) worked as a waitress.
While living in Virginia they had two children, Kathy Thompson and William (Bill) Thompson and lived in Virginia until moving to Colorado in 1963.
Soon after moving to Colorado, Cathleen was widowed, leaving her with two children to raise. She worked many years at a Country Club and often worked second jobs at night. Through her hard work and experience- she was hired as a Dining Room Manager for a Telecom Training Center.
Mom was noted for her homemade delicious chocolate cakes, which she enjoyed bragging to all about placing 2nd at the Western Welcome Week . Her homemade buttermilk biscuits were a requirement at all family dinners.
After retirement, she developed an interest in Fishing and traveled to many local lakes in pursuit of trout. She out fished her friends, which always brought on a big smile.
Whatever lake your fishing now, may there always be sunny skies, calm winds, and plenty of jumping fish. WE LOVE YOU, MOM!
Survived by her children, William (Mildred) and Kathy Thompson, and her sister, Lassie Smith
