Celestino Rael Sr.

Celestino Rael Sr. known to all as " Tino" passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 21st, 2024, at his home in Dayton, NV. 

He was born on April 6, 1935, in Segundo, CO and as a young man served 4 years in the U.S. Navy.  Shortly after he married his loving wife Betty Joyce Pillar in 1957, they relocated to Littleton, CO to start their family.  There they were blessed to share 67 years of marriage and the love for their family.

Tino was employed by the Littleton Post Office in 1957 he began working as a mail carrier and after 35 years retired as Post Master in Wray, CO.  He showed the importance of strong values and doing what is right for his family.

He enjoyed collecting rare coins, antique furniture and books.  He had a passion for playing the guitar and the violin.  He was a skilled craftsman remodeling homes and building three homes in the downtown Littleton area.

As a loving husband, father, uncle and grandfather his family was very important to him.  He enjoyed quality time with his family whether it was going on road trips or the cherished moments he had being "Pompo" to his 6 grandchildren and 7 great grand kids.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Joyce Rael, his beloved children Tina Marie (Carlos) Menendez, Sharon K. (Patrick) Salas, Celestino Jr. (Donna) Rael, Sister Avelina Farrell and many nieces and nephews who he loved very much. 

Rosary service 6:30 pm Thursday August 22nd, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6853 S. Prince St. Littleton, CO  80120. Funeral Mass 12:30 pm Friday August 23rd, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with reception to follow in church hall. Burial 3:00 pm Friday August 23rd, 2024 at Littleton Cemetery  - 6155 S. Prince St., Littleton, CO  80120
