Charlanne De Morrison

Charlanne De Morrison, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2025. My mom was the strongest woman I have ever known, and her love, faith, and courage will forever remain in our hearts.

Charlanne was born on January 5, 1949, in Oakland California to Edna and Kenneth Maleton. She later married the love of her life, Thomas Stanley Morrison. First and foremost, Charlanne was a devoted mother of three daughters. She was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply. After completing college, Charlanne worked hard until she gave birth to her first child, when she joyfully dedicated her life to raising her family.

She was a woman of many joys and passions. She loved crossword puzzles, Mexican Food, football, cooking, and baking with her family. More than anything, she treasured every moment spent surrounded by her loved ones. Charlanne was defined by her strength, her kindness, her humor, her unwavering faith in God, and her courage. She always put her family before herself, and her presence filled every room with warmth and laughter.

Charlanne is survived by her daughters, Cathrine Nelson Sabine, Laura Suzanne Sabine, and Deborah Morrison. She is also survived by her son-in-law James Woodard and Jim Nelson. Her beloved grandchildren include Tyler Woodard, Kearston Neil, Bryan Fortney, Gianna Santoro, Parker Fernandez, Hayleigh Woodard, Joseph Woodard, Jackie Sabine, Tara Sabine, Daniel Sabine, Daiel Widmaier, Hannah Widmaier, and Savannah Widmaier.  Her great-grandchildren are Addle Woodard, Tyler Woodard, Weston Woodard, and Kaleb Santoro Woodard. Charlanne also cared deeply for what she called her bonus children: Brandi Jennings, Scott Tash, Melissa Martin, Melissa Miracle, Kiera Stump and extra grandchildren Laura Young and Scarlette Stump.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Kennith Maleton, and her beloved husband, Thomas Morrison.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Drinkwine Family Chapel, 999 West Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO 80120. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. After the service, family and friends are invited to a gathering at 6547 S. Clarkson St, Centennial, CO 80121.

My mother was the kindest and strongest person I have ever known. Life will not be the same without her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and kindness will live on through her family.
