Constance Salvatore Obituary
On Tuesday, June 8th Constance “Connie” Marie Salvatore, age 79, entered peacefully into heaven. She was surrounded by her two children at the time of her passing. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 19, 1941 to Ethel & Clifford Johnson.
In the early 1960’s, Connie met Carl Salvatore while working at an insurance office in Chicago. They were married on October 24, 1964 and were together for 45 years before Carl’s passing in 2010. They were blessed with two children, Christine (Michael) Lansville and John (Stacey) Salvatore, and two grandchildren, Joseph & Raymond Salvatore, who she absolutely loved. She is also survived by two brothers, Clayton Johnson (Jessie) & Kenny Johnson (Paula).
Connie is preceded in death by her husband Carl Salvatore, her parents Ethel & Clifford, her brother Clifford Jr. and sister, Karen Truppa.
Connie moved with her family to Colorado in 1992. After moving to Colorado she worked for Shea Homes as an Executive Secretary for over two decades before retiring in 2019. She enjoyed her career at Shea working with the wonderful staff who became like family to Connie.
Connie was an avid swimmer in her youth, and loved art, traveling, wine, eating out, knitting, sewing, crossword puzzles, and watching American Idol & Dancing with the Stars.
Connie was a loving, passionate, intelligent, caring person and enjoyed being around family and friends.
Connie will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Memorial Service will be held 9:00AM on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Drinkwine Family Mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C at 11:15AM. A reception will follow the burial at 12:30PM.
The Memorial Service at Drinkwine Family Mortuary will be live streamed for those unable to attend. A link will be posted to this obituary on July 9th ten minutes prior to the service.
