Darrell began his life as youngest son of Francis and Katherine Lindauer of Omaha, NE. Upon graduation at Tech High School, he enlisted in the Navy as an electrician. One of his favorite pastimes was to chat and talk to every soul who would lend an ear. At times, when he was pulled away from conversations, he would work on building a home from scratch.
Enjoying and teaching his family about the great outdoors was important and one of his passions. Packing up the family and heading out on numerous road trips to the beautiful, majestic sights, National Parks, viewing the sights of Europe, visiting relatives across the states or when he became a snowbird, he headed south to Texas for the winter, the love of travel never ceased. Weekend camping trips were common and he loved to challenge the mountain roads in the Rocky Mountains which lead to some unforgettable memories. Many nights were spent gazing at the stars, eating smores, popcorn and telling stories. He loved spending time with his children & grandchildren.
