Obituary
David Charles Spies, 75, of Littleton, Colorado passed away on July 20, 2023. Dave was born on April 9, 1948 to Joseph and Germaine Spies in Hays, Kansas. He joined the Marine Corps in 1966, serving 3 years with two tours to Vietnam. He worked for the State of Colorado, retiring in 2008, after 19 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, Rockies baseball games, coaching little league, and was an animal lover.
Dave was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joe and Germaine Spies, brothers Joey Spies and Dennis Spies. He is survived by his wife Elaine Spies, son Ben Spies, daughter Anna Bono (John Bono), and grandchildren; Charlotte Spies, Jason Bono, Vincent Bono, and Lucas Bono. Along with nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Drinkwine Mortuary on July 28, 2023 at 1:00pm.
