passed away December 23, 2011. He is survived by his best friend and wife Kathryn, daughter Izabelle, 7 and son Davis, 3. He is also survived by his sisters Debby Ferrell, Sue Speirer and Patty Scripter. Sparky served in the United States Army for several years starting in 1984 and as a fire- fighter for South Metro Fire/Rescue. He was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas but fell in love with Colorado while working the ski lifts in Steamboat Springs, where he worked for over a decade. He will be remembered for being a loyal and persistent friend to anyone who cared to introduce themselves. Services Thursday, 1:30 p.m. December 29 at St Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish in Littleton, Colorado.
