Following a courageous battle against cancer, Deborrah Lynn Mueller “Deb”, 78 of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, January 29 at the side of husband Terry D. Boucher.
Born in Hinsdale, DuPage, Illinois to Kenneth and Marie (Berry) Munger; Deb was educated at Hinsdale Central High School (graduated in May 1962) then attended Wisconsin’s Carthage College. She married Gerald Clyde Mueller in June of 1965, and they had 3 children, 2 boys & 1 girl: Christopher D. Mueller “Chris”, Gerald Mueller Jr., and Katherine M. Mueller “Katie”. Chris married Alyson Gorman in 1998 and they presented Deb with two grandchildren: grandson Owen Mueller (2002) and granddaughter Olivia Mueller (2006). After a 2004 divorce, Deb married Terry Boucher on March 2, 2013 where they enjoyed a combined family with 4 children, 6 grandchildren and one great grandson (Dean Scott Calhoun).
Deb loved crossword puzzles (especially The Denver Post King Crossword), mystery stories and travel. Her favorite detective was Sherlock Holmes and her favorite TV shows were ‘Mystery she wrote’ with Jessica Fletcher, Monk, and Colombo. She was an active member of the Douglas County Library’s Mystery Book Club. Her favorite travels included Hawaii, Mexico’s Mayan culture and river cruising (the Viking Romantic Danube through Germany, Austria and Hungary). Following an OLLI class, she enjoyed playing Maj-Jong with her fellow classmates.
Deb & Terry are members of the Highland Ranch Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church where Deb served as a greeter and Stephen Minister. She was also a member (sergeant-of-arms) of Littleton’s Dry Creek Sertoma, a community service club which serves many community charities with an emphasis on hearing health.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice or to Katie’s church non-profit affiliate: Shepard of the Hills / Human Care.
