Debbie K. Fauskee was born on November 6, 1956, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charles and Mary Ann (Gorecki) Winkelman. They lived in Richfield Minnesota, moving to Foley before settling in St. Cloud with their family. Debbie graduated from Apollo High School and Minnesota State University (Formerly known as Mankato State University) with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
Debbie married Robert Fauskee on June 24, 1989 and shortly after moved to Denver, Colorado. She worked as a paper buyer and then as a teacher’s aide at multiple schools including finishing her career at Havern School, having recently retired in 2022. Debbie also volunteered in Boy Scouts as her sons went through Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Family and kids always came first for Debbie no matter where she was or what she was doing. She made ordinary moments special and special moments memorable. She loved the outdoors, traveling back to Minnesota to see family, walks on the beach, and was an avid quilter, enjoying her quilting retreats with her special friends who shared her passion.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband Bob, sons Jeff (Heather Walter) Welik/Pine Island, MN, Joe (Stef) Fauskee/Denver, Lars (Rita) Fauskee/Denver and Gunnar Fauskee, and grandson Jack Wlik. Parents Charles and Mary Ann Winkelman/MN, sister Nancy Winkelman/WI, brothers Tim (Kathryn) Winkelman/MN, Chuck (Denise) Winkelman/TX and Tom (Kara) Winkelman, brother-in-laws Tim (Jean) Fauskee/MN and Mike (Ruth) Fauskee/Florida.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Havern School (4000 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Littleton, CO 80123) on December 2, 2023 at 2 pm.
