Delores "Joanne" Sliter (Bothun), 92, went to be with her Lord and savior on July 2, 2025 in Denver, Colorado. She was born on April 11,1933 in Lanesboro, Minnesota to Alfred Erick Bothun and Mabel (Redalen) Bothun. She was raised in both Lanesboro and Rochester Minnesota as well as Greensville, Michigan.
Joanne lived in Denver, Colorado where she raised her four children and after Denver, CO she lived part of her life in Naperville, IL and Malibu, CA.
Joanne lived her life for her four children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joanne enjoyed traveling the world and seeing all the beautiful cities and countries she was able to visit. A highlight of her traveling was a trip to Norway where all her family originated. She enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and the sound of the ocean.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Virgil and Al and sisters, Bonnie, Shirley, Virginia, Marcie and Annabelle.
Her survivors include her son, Steve (Ann) King of Littleton, CO, her daughters Tracey Snyder of Littleton, CO, and Christy Hilton of Malibu, CA and son David (Shelly) King of Parker, CO.
Granddaughters, Kirsten (Andrew) Radsch of Redwood City, CA, Tarryn (Chris) Cashwell of Yorkville, IL and Ashley (TR) Beasley of La Veta, CO, Tori King of Denver, CO, Rachel King of Grand Junction, CO and grandsons Trey (Alyssa) Snyder of Hendersonville, TN, Ryan (Kate) Heimpel of Cottonwood Canyon, UT, Steven Heimpel of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Tyler King of Casper, WY, Trenton (Maddie) Snyder of Naperville, IL and Barron Hilton of Australia. Great-granddaughters, Delaney Beasley, Rosumund Beasley, Zoey Roe, Hailey Radsch and Freya King and great-grandsons, Hayden Radsch, Cole Snyder and Connor Cashwell.
Joanne was an extremely caring, giving and warm-hearted woman. Joanne was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her including Gayle Faber.
A memorial will be held at the Lutheran Church of Lanesboro, Minnesota on September 20, 2025 at 1:00pm.
Interment will be at Lanesboro Cemetery in Lanesboro, Minnesota. Interment will be private.
