Denise Elaine Fortin entered eternal rest on May 5, 2025. She was 67 years old.

Denise was born on August 22, 1957, in Denver, Colorado to Arthur Edward and Patsy Darlene Fortin. Raised in Englewood she attended Englewood High School and resided in Lakewood, Colorado at the time of her passing.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents as well as her brothers: Robert (Sheri) of Littleton, Co., Richard of Carlsbad, Ca. and Daniel (Laura) of Englewood, Co.

In horsetail clouds where wild winds dance,
A cowgirl rides with the boldest stance.
Her hat tipped low, boots worn and true,
In jeans that tell of skies so blue.
Untamed spirit fierce and bright,
She owns the day and rules the night.
Through dusty trails and open plains,
Her heart forever breaks the chains.

A gathering to celebrate a beautiful life will bloom not by schedule but will gently unfold in the breeze the last weekend of July-at Buckskin Cemetery and all throughout the town of Alma, Colorado.
