Dennis Dale Semin, 83, of Aurora, Colorado died peacefully Sunday, September 3rd surrounded by his wife, Lou Semin, and their pup Honeybear. Dennis was born in Utica, Nebraska on the farm on September 6th, 1939, to Berdean (Dey) Semin and Stanley E. Semin.
Dennis played college basketball at Nebraska Wesleyan University where he was inducted to the Hall of Fame. Dennis and Lou were married in Lincoln, Nebraska on November25th, 1960 and were blessed with three boys - Rick, Randy, and Rob.
In 1967, Dennis and family moved to Littleton, Colorado where he taught and coached in the Littleton School District until he retired in 2001. You can find Coach Semin on the Coaches Wall of Fame at Heritage High School.
In retirement, Dennis loved to spend time with his sons, 13 grandkids, 9 great grandkids, and keeping up on all the sports - especially the Broncos, Nebraska Huskers, and Rockies. Dennis will be remembered for his sense of humor and finding joy in all the small things.
Dennis Semin’s Celebration of Life Service to be held on September 20, 2023 at South Fellowship Church, 6560 S. Broadway, Littleton, CO 80121; reception with light refreshments to follow.
