Donald J. Bole, 88, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away on April 15, 2022. Don was born in McMechen, West Virginia in 1933, but lived in a number of places throughout his lifetime. He was an alumnus of West Virginia University, a proud member of the Marine Corps, and a civil engineer. It was through an engineering assignment that he met his soulmate, Jeanne, in Great Falls, Montana. He also worked on the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in New York and continued as a construction engineer for the American Bridge Division of United States Steel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Friends and family will remember Don as a woodworker extraordinaire, an accomplished bagpiper, and a rampant fan of both the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Steelers; however he loved his family more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeanne, his daughter Kim, and his brothers, Jim, Jack, and Larry. He is survived by his daughters, Michelle, Shari, and Katy, his brother Tary, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton on April 20, 2022. Don will join his wife at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
