Don was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on 9/24/35 to his parents, Hibbert and Kathryn Johnson.
Don was predeceased by his son Vincent; his parents; sister Norma Anderson (Jim); nephews Tom Anderson, John Connolly and David Johnson; sister-in-law Mary Rae Wolf (Joe), and brother-in-law Riechert (Buzz) Taylor.
Don is survived by his wife Noelle; Children Greg Johnson (Nancy), Austin, Texas; Maria Hopp (David), Littleton, Colorado; Douglas Johnson (CaSandra), Omaha, Nebraska; Frances Johnson (Brett), Englewood, Colorado. Grandchildren are Robert, Ashleigh, Ryan, Lauren, Aliya, Vincent and Patrick Johnson and Anthony, Alexander, and Austin Hopp; brother Jay Johnson (Pat), Richland, Washington; sisters-in-law Judith Duncan (Gary); Bernadet Taylor; Kathleen Mullin (Chet) and Carolyn McNamara (John Wagner). He is survived by 32 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Don was employed by the Federal government, most recently (1970-1997) with HUD. Upon retirement he taught at Red Rocks Community College. He received his education from Creighton University, University of Nebraska, and University of Colorado. Services for Don will be at St. Mary Church Littleton at 10:30 AM (Rosary) and 11:00 AM (Mass) on 7/19/21.
