Dorothy Marie Noyes, 87, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19th surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald P. Noyes, her parents, Edward Earl and Bessie Parsons, and her sister, Patricia Cothern. She is survived by her brother, Ed Parsons Jr. of Payette, Idaho, and four children, Greg of Fargo, North Dakota, Cindy Durham of Geneva, Florida, Scott of Denver, Colorado, and Brian of League City, Texas.
Dorothy was born in Payette, Idaho, and raised on their family farm where she was active in 4H and was a Queen in Job’s Daughters. She graduated from Payette High School in 1955 and later moved to San Francisco, California, where she entered Dental Nursing school. While in San Francisco, she met her future husband, Don. The family later moved to San Jose, California, where Don worked at EMJ Corporation. In 1970, Dorothy and Don moved their family to Colorado where together they started EMJD Corporation, a precision sheet metal manufacturing business in Englewood, Colorado.
Dorothy was a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was an integral part of PEO Chapter BS and dearly loved her PEO sisters. She was actively involved in her church community, a dedicated Mary Kay consultant, an accomplished seamstress/quilter, and an avid gardener and golfer.
Dorothy was a devout, Spirit-filled Christian believer who dedicated her life to Jesus. She served others and was an inspiration to all who met her.
A celebration of life will be held in May with details to be decided at a later date.
