Edna Jeannette Jerman passed away peacefully on February 28, 2021, in Thornton, Colorado at the age of 88. She was born to Albert Butler and Nettie Mae Hartfield on June 1, 1932 in Denver, Colorado. She was the youngest of three children. Not long after she was born her family moved to Columbia, Mississippi. Before the age of 2, Edna’s father passed away. They lived in Mississippi until Edna was 13 years old. At the age of 13 the family moved back to Denver, Colorado. Edna graduated from North High School in Denver in 1950. She then attended and completed Barnes Business School. Her first job was with Sun Oil Company. Edna married Joseph Anton Jerman Jr. in September 1957. During their marriage they lived in Applewood, Grand Junction, Littleton and Colorado Springs, Colorado. They primarily raised their 4 children in Littleton, Colorado. Edna and Joseph retired in Colorado Springs where they lived for 37 years. Edna was devoted to her family and loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Throughout the years Edna and family enjoyed many family vacations in the US and Canada, Christmases in Breckenridge, game night, camping, boating and backyard barbecues. As a couple they enjoyed dance clubs, bowling leagues, bridge clubs, golf and travel.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Nettie and brothers James and Millard.
Edna will be forever loved, always missed and never forgotten by her loving husband Joseph Anton Jerman Jr., her four children Stephaney Shaver (Daniel) of Arvada, Colorado, Cheryl von Wellsheim (Matthew) of Colleyville, Texas, Debora Jerman/Shaw of Rockwall, Texas and Joseph Jerman III (Ada) of Austin, Texas, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren Brock Erickson (Sarah and Autumn), Tyler Erickson (Sierra and Everleigh), Megan Shaver, Jeffrey Shaver, Madison Matamoros/von Wellsheim (Logan), Grant von Wellsheim (Abbi Westerdahl), Jacob Shaw, Rivers Shaw, Skyler Shaw, Matthew Earp, Ethan Earp and Josie Jerman. Edna is further survived by several sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s and many special nieces and nephews.

Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, a private interment for immediate family will follow the service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
