Edward “Bart” Bartscherer
September 16th, 1948 - May 14th, 2021 (age 72)

Bart Bartscherer passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2021 at Highline Rehabilitation and Care Community.

Bart was born in Denver on September 16th, 1948 to J. Gerard Bartscherer and Marion Adelaide Friend Bartscherer.

After high school, Bart graduated in the first class at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs. He then became a proficient and generous Remodeling Contractor working on both big and small projects. There were few jobs he couldn’t do and even fewer people he wouldn’t help. He was a gentle giant with a loving and supportive soul. He showed up when he was needed and stayed as long as he was helpful.

Before succumbing to the challenges of Parkinson’s disease, Bart was incredibly active. He walked, ran or biked several miles every week. He enjoyed the exercise and the more he could be in the Colorado outdoors the happier he was.

Bart is preceded in death by his father J. Gerard Bartscherer and his brother John Anthony Bartscherer.

He is survived by his mother Marion Bartscherer, his four sisters Carol (Raymond) McGuire-Bullock, Susan Kyler, Dory (Brad) Smeaton, Barb (George) McNeley, his three children Gwendolyn Duda, Brett (Janelle) Bartscherer and Briana Bartscherer, his five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Burial Mass will be Friday, May 28, 2021 10:00 AM at
