Elizabeth “Bettie” Ann Kendrick
(September 30, 1933 – February 15, 2020)
Elizabeth “Bettie” Ann Kendrick, 86, of Littleton, CO, died Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 9:35 p.m., in the company of her sons. She was born Elizabeth Ann Goodwin on September 30, 1933 in Opelousas, LA, the daughter of Isora Ann "Tottie" Fontenot and Paul Adams Goodwin. Upon obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Northwestern State College of Louisiana in 1954, Bettie embarked on a life-long career as a registered nurse in hospitals throughout Louisiana, Oklahoma and Colorado until her retirement in 2001.
Bettie and family made Littleton their home in 1967. She held multiple nursing positions at Swedish Medical Center before moving on to similar rolls with the Denver VA Hospital, and, eventually, retirement.
Like the flowers in the gardens throughout her home which she endlessly tended, Bettie had a passion to care for others and a never-ending devotion in raising her four boys.
She is preceded in death by her son, Kerry, and her ex-husband, David. She is survived by her three sons and their families: David and his children Lauren and Scott; Gregory and wife, Diane, and their son, Ian; and Patrick and wife, Britt, and their son Ryan.
Memorial service will be Friday, February 28 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Drinkwine Family Mortuary, 999 West Littleton Boulevard, Littleton, CO 80120. A reception and luncheon will follow at Romano’s Restaurant, 5666 S. Windermere, Littleton, CO.
