Elwin J. Coulter was born in Denver on October 12, 1942, the third of four children. He had a rough childhood until he was enlisted in the United States Army on March 8, 1960.
He served with pride as part of the Signal Corp USARAL in Anchorage, Alaska. While there, he married Carol and soon after discharge the returned home to Denver to start a family. They had three children in quick succession, Mike (Carla), Linda and Shelly (Dan). He wen on to be a proud member of IBEW Local 68 as an Industrial Electrician for more than 35 years.
Although they eventually divorced, he and Carol remained on good terms and welcomed grandsons Taylor Coulter and Nicholas Coulter, along with three great grandchildren: Ashlynn, Gabriella and Isaac. He was also survived by his brother Tim, sister Janice, sister-in-law Charlotte Adams and many nieces and nephews. He will forever be missed and loved by his family and friends.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C.
