Francis Richard Taylor

Francis Richard “Dick” Taylor passed away September 7 at the age of 93 after a long illness with his family at his bedside. He loved his family; his wife of 68 years, three children, two grandchildren, a great grandson, an older brother and numerous nephews and nieces and was loved in return. He enjoyed traversing the slopes of Winter Park, supplying the neighborhood with patty pan squash and other garden delights, being a Denver Broncos season ticket holder and feeling the accompanying joy and agony.  Known for his honesty, he became the treasurer of nearly every organization he joined never losing a cent for anyone. He was a marketing representative for IBM for over thirty years, going to work early in the morning and not stopping until the task was completed. His children learned the value of hard work and honesty from his example and they are very grateful.  As a Navy veteran of World War II, he will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a private service.
