John (Fred) Laga of Littleton Colorado passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was 82 years old.
Fred was born on November 25, 1937 in Comstock, Nebraska to the late Mary (Nekarda) & Frank Laga. He graduated from Roselle Park High School in 1957. Fred moved to Colorado where he did odd jobs until he was drafted into the US Army which he served faithfully for 2 years and was honorably discharged on January 31, 1966. After his discharge, Fred moved to New Jersey where he learned his trade in Sheet Metal Heating and Air Conditioning. He married the love of his life Marilynn (Henry) on September 22, 1973 and spent their entire married life in Littleton.
Fred loved the water and enjoyed going “down the shore” as well as pool time. He loved outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, gardening, camping and skiing. In his later years, he and Marilynn enjoyed wintering in Florida.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Marilynn, his son Steven and daughter in law Kim of Englewood, Colorado and his son Christopher of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Brayden, Shay and Gracie Mae, all of whom he absolutely adored. Fred was the 9th of 9 children and is survived by his sister Lynn Schweitzer.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 10:00 AM at Drinkwine Family Chapel.
