Gary Burton Barber passed away on June 12, 2025 in Parker, Colorado at the age of 85, surrounded by family.

Born on September 25, 1939 in Owanka, South Dakota, he was the son of Burton Barber and Anna (Felton) Barber.  He was a devoted husband to Dorothy (Smith) Barber for 60 years, and a loving Father to Deanna (Barber) Buckles of Parker, Colorado and Jennifer (Barber) Ashlock, of Littleton Colorado.  Sadly, Jennifer passed away in December, 2014.

Gary dedicated over 35 years as a Lineman/Electrician with IREA and Sturgeon Electric Company.  His passion in life was collecting and rebuilding antique John Deere tractors, and he won hundreds of prizes at tractor pulls.  He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, and is greatly missed.

Gary is a Veteran of the United States Army, and a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Gary is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Smith) Barber, daughter Deanna (Derrick) Buckles; grandchildren Michael Buckles (Rachel), Cameron Buckles (Mackenzie), Leah Buckies and Collin Current; great-granddaughters Lily Buckles, Maisyn Buckles and Colbie Buckles, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
