Gerald Michael Grant "Jerry"
December 25, 1938 - December 1, 2016

Our Father, our Grandfather and our Friend went into the arms of our Lord on December 1, 2016.  He is survived by his former wife Dottie Grant (Mattei), his four children; Michael, Karyn (John), David (Zoe) and Kevin and his five grandchildren; Eric, Maria, Cassie, Jaxine and Brysen, two sisters Phyllis and Marcia and several nieces, nephews.

He was born in Denver Colorado to the late Elmer and Dorothy Grant in 1938.  He is preceeded in death by his parents and brother Larry Grant.

Jerry attended Seattle Preparatory School in Washington State before enlisting in the United States Air Force. While serving in the Air Force, he attended Yale University in Connecticut where he studied and became fluent in Mandarin Chinese.  He was then stationed in Taiwan as a military intelligence specialist.  After his military career, he lived and raised his family in Lakewood, Colorado.

Jerry was a very intelligent man who relished in continually learning new things as well as mentoring his children and grandchildren and instilling the importance of education on everyone.  He was passionate about the great outdoors, enjoying backpacking, camping and fishing with his family and friends.

He was a kind and generous man who loved his family and his friends.  He shared his wonderful personality and sense of humor with everyone he met.

Now resting in God's care, so dearly loved, so sadly missed.  Your light and love will warm our hearts forever.
