Gerald Joe Schmidt

Gerry Schmidt was born in McDonald County, Missouri on March 11,1933.  He passed peacefully at home in Littleton, Colorado on October 17, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Lucille Huffaker,  father Herbert H. Schmidt, sister Glenda Feeley, wife Joyce I. Schmidt and his Grandson Jared R. Gilbert. 

Survived by his daughter Rae Ann Gilbert, son Ryan K. Schmidt and Ryan's wife Julie Schmidt.

Gerry loved his 3 granddaughters and his 4 great grandkids.  Gerry's great joy came from being with his family.

Gerry graduated from MSU with a degree in Engineering.  Gerry had moved on in his career to become a very successful businessman in HVAC. 

Gerry enjoyed long mountain drives, camping, fishing, and especially traveling to Mexico.

Gerry always had a smile and a kind word, forever a gentleman.  He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Drinkwine Family Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Denver Dumb Friends League www.ddfl.org and or ASPCA www.secure.aspca.org in Gerald's name and memory.
