Gerald Tyrrell Obituary

Gerald "Jerry" Tyrrell of Bailey, passed away July 3rd. He was born in Norton, Kansas.  He was a retired deputy sheriff with Jefferson County. He was also a skilled contractor, artist and carver. He carved many walking sticks for people, and he kept many. While with the department he worked many areas, and moved up to the rank of Sgt. He also received the Medal of Honor with the department. As a contractor he built a home in Conifer and Bailey. He was married to the love of his life Janice for 54 yrs. He had 2 brothers and a sister, who he out lived. He is survived by his wife Jan, son Shawn (his wife Tracy) 2 granddaughters, Shawna and Emilie. Along with numerous nephews, and cousins.
