Gregory James Walerius

Gregory James Walerius, 66, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at his home in Littleton.

Greg was born in Barrington, Illinois to Robert J. Walerius and Elaine G. Anderson on April 20, 1953.  He graduated from Colorado State University in 1975 with a degree in Business Marketing and spent most of his career working as the Founder and President of GW Media Marketing. 

On July 10, 1981, he married Jayne Patricia Juracka, with whom he spent 29 years together.  Greg and Jayne welcomed two beautiful daughters, Jessica Jayne Walerius, born June 29, 1988, and Megan Elayne Walerius, born March 22, 1990.

Greg was a devoted father and husband, an avid golfer, and a successful and professional businessman.  He was known for being a straight-shooter and would always give you his honest opinion, whether you asked for it or not.  He was a man of his word and always lived up to his promises.  When he wasn’t with his family or working, he was on the golf course at Columbine Country Club or laughing with his friends in the men’s grill.  He was a lover of Vic’s popcorn, jelly beans, and vodka lemonades.  His smile and laugh were infectious…and no one will ever forget the phrase, “Greg, have a coke”.

Greg is survived by his two daughters and his grandson, Jett.  He joins his parents, his three sisters, and the Walerius family dog, Divot, up in heaven.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date when a proper gathering can be held. 

In lieu of flowers, Greg’s family respectfully requests that donations be made in honor of Greg to the American Diabetes Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
