Harold T McCubbin passed away on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. He was born in Lenora, KS on December 13th, 1940.
He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Norton High School in 1958.
He graduated from Kansas State University in 1963 becoming the first college graduate in his family. He then joined the United States Air Force and rose to the rank of Captain. After his service he attended and graduated from Kansas University Law school in 1971. He conducted a successful legal practice for 35 years in Norton, KS and then Denver, CO.
He was a devoted husband and a strong role model for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid hiker, tech aficionado, photographer, world traveler, race car driver, tennis player and collector of fine timepieces.
He was predeceased by his mother Martha Colip, stepfather Lewis Colip and brother Glenn D McCubbin.
He is survived by his wife Sally McCubbin, son Mike McCubbin and daughter Michelle Hack, stepdaughters Susan Miller and Deborah Miller, his brother Lee McCubbin and sister Wanda Braun.
He cherished his 6 grandchildren Wilson Hack, Weston Hack, Hudson Hack, Reed McCubbin, Jack Arnold and Violet Arnold.
Graveside Service will be held at 9:30AM on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Please meet at Staging Area B.
