Harold Edward Sheldon, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at St Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. He was born February 6, 1940, in Blue Mounds, WI to John and Helga Sheldon. He had one sister and three brothers who grew up together in Cambridge, WI. He married Janet Carolyn Oswalt on April 2, 1961, in Madison, WI. After a brief stint in the Air Force, he worked as a machinist at The Kipp Corp. for many years before moving to Colorado where he worked at Norgrens. They raised three daughters Tammy (Tim) Warren, NC; Julie (Chris) Aurora, CO; Cindy (Phil) Abilene, TX.
In 1987 Harold lost his wife Janet to cancer and later remarried Carmen and got the sons he never had Jedediah (Viktoriya) and Jeremiah (Stephanie). His hobbies included tinkering with his collector cars, gambling, breeding his many dogs, and enjoying his retirement in Grand Junction with Jed who was always there for him. He is survived by his brother Russ, his 5 children, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Proceeded in death by his parents John and Helga, his wives Janet and Carmen, his brothers Howard and Spencer and his sister Cora.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Fort Logan Cemetery at 11:30AM, Staging Area B.
