Harry Michael Shaffer, 83, passed away from an illness in his Englewood home on March 3, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1941 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado.
Harry’s family later moved to the Denver area where he attended Englewood High School. After a long and successful 35-year career at Marathon Oil in Littleton, he enjoyed remodeling homes, tackling handyman projects and taking annual sailing trips with family to the BVI’s. While sailing, Harry connected with his spiritual side and experienced a sense of peace on the beautiful and vast open water.
Harry’s love for his family was a big part of his life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and his loving support was seen through the quality time he spent with family and friends.
Harry is survived by his wife, Rosemary, son, Mike (Dayna), grandsons, Blake (McKenzie), Andrew (Taylor) and Jeremy (Sayge), great grandchildren Beau, Blake Lynn and Harper; step children, Brian (Carrie) Thomas, Stephen (Nicole) Thomas, Philip (Heather) Thomas and Christine Floyd, step grandchildren Taylor, Jack and Charlie Thomas and Brady, Dylan and Tyler Floyd; siblings, Gail, Doug, Margo and Debbie. He was predeceased by his daughters Jennifer and Julie, and siblings Ramona, Glen, Judy and Philip.
Harry will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was beyond generous in more ways than one and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
