James David Hoysick Jr died unexpectedly on August 10th, 2022 in his Westminster home.
James was a Colorado native, born in Littleton to Jim and Heather Hoysick. He graduated from Heritage High School in 2006, where he was class president and top of his class. He was honored to be asked to speak at graduation. Following high school, he attended University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, graduating with honors in 2011. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and volunteered at CUHelpline, where he met his wife.
James had a passion for helping others and completed his masters in clinical counseling at Adam’s State University in 2019. He then started his own practice as a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFTC) and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). He worked with the Colorado Courts as a CFI, advocating for children of high conflict divorce.
James was a devout Catholic and a Deputy Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus council #5237. He looked forward to Easter season every year and loved attending Easter Vigil, no matter how long it went. Seeing others entering the Church brought him immense joy.
