Remembering Janice Lee (Bowers) Johnson, April 29, 1950 - June 28, 2020

Jan Bowers Johnson was born in Seattle, Washington. Her parents, Fran and Joy moved across country to Pennsylvania, Ohio and then settled in Denver when her father began working for Martin Marietta. Jan attended East Elementary, Grant Jr. High, Euclid Junior High, and graduated in 1968 from Littleton High School.

Jan became a Women’s Pro Foosball player, and was also a writer for the Foos News newspaper. She traveled on the circuit to many US states playing foosball, joining her brother Michael, a world champion. She was also a skier, and spent a lot of time at her mountain property. She loved her friends and Classic Rock. A true Littleton-ite, Jan always attended the Western Welcome Parade, and enjoyed living in Colorado.

Jan also worked over 30 years for the United States Post Office as a US postal supervisor. She was excellent at her work and often put on special assignments at various post offices in Denver to help things run smoothly, and to assist people in training. 

Jan shone the brightest with her grandkids- Casey, Gary & Leah. She also loved her two step-children Rachelle, and Nathan. A super-model to the end, and very brave in the time of her passing, she was only thinking of her two sons and these grandchildren. 

Jan is survived by three siblings, R. Michael Bowers, Robert Douglas Bowers, and Katherine A. Bowers, her two sons, William James Alexander, Michael Jeffrey Strickland, and her grandchildren Casey Alexander, Gary Strickland, Leah Strickland. 

Memorial Services will held on Saturday July 18th, 10:00 AM, at Drinkwine Family Chapel.
